ESPN Events

Winner of a Graphis 2018 Advertising Annual Gold Award for Las Vegas Bowl campaign. ESPN Events produces 15 college bowl games annually. As a part of branding each of those bowl games, branding begins around February with initial concepts, runs up to the annual event and finishes with a post-game recap. Becca was a part of the team branding the 2016 and 2017 editions of the Armed Forces Bowl, Heart of Dallas Bowl and Las Vegas Bowl. The Armed Forces Bowl is a special event. Every year, two teams and an army of fans take to Amon G. Carter Stadium for a day celebrating much more than the culmination of two teams’ seasons. Thousands of tickets are underwritten annually in order to provide past and present service members and their families with a free day of memories. The tagline “Bowl for the Brave” was often featured throughout marketing materials in partnership with award-winning illustrations to create an environment of respect, honor and patriotism. In a similar manner, the Heart of Dallas Bowl celebrates members of the community who serve as first responders. Taking place in the Historic Cotton Bowl Stadium, branding for the event celebrates its community and history with the tagline “Great Game. Greater Cause.”

In contrast to the seriousness of the Armed Forces Bowl and Heart of Dallas Bowl, the Las Vegas Bowl celebrates all things glitz and glamour in true Las Vegas fashion. Often one of the first bowl games of the season, the Las Vegas Bowl takes pride in its city and its traditions. Kicking off with a party on Fremont Street, the game itself features appearances by showgirls and even the man himself, Elvis. Branding for the game was just as loud and sparkly featuring a neon motif and a rhinestone football. One print advertisement for the game won gold the Graphis Advertising Annual 2018. Work for the events included: tickets, credentials, ticket envelopes, print ads, digital ads, social graphics and content, sweaters, sales booklets, annual recaps, programs, street banners, billboards, end zones, custom footballs and more.
